MultiCam is an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the US company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a flexible camouflage pattern effective across diverse terrains and various environmental conditions. The MultiCam design features seven different colors, forming smooth transitions among shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to blend dynamically with surroundings, adopting green hues in forested areas or shades of brown and beige in desert environments. It is especially effective in Central and Eastern European regions during autumn and among dry foliage. MultiCam has earned global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially selected by the US Army for soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also accessible to civilians, becoming a favored choice for military and airsoft enthusiasts.
