MultiCam Camouflage
MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern designed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. The goal was to create a universal masking pattern effective in diverse terrain and varying environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern includes seven colors that create gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows the pattern to dynamically adapt to the background, taking on shades of green in forests or browns and beiges in desert areas. In the environment of Central and Eastern Europe, it is most effective in the fall and in dry regions. MultiCam has gained international recognition and is used by many armies and special units. In 2010, the pattern was officially adopted by the U.S. Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). For civilian users, the availability of this pattern makes it popular among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
