I bought these laces for my Jack Wolfskin Refugio shoes because the previous ones – both the original Wolfskin and French branded – wore out within 24 months. After a month of using the Lowa brand laces, I can say they are quite thick (even thicker than those in the Lowa Renegade model, where they've lasted for several years), soft, flexible, and, importantly, they don't loosen on their own, as sometimes happened with the original Wolfskin laces, which were a bit slippery. The only downside is that they are a bit longer than the originals – I wanted to buy the 170 cm version, but it was unavailable, so I went with the 180 cm, which also fit.
