Lowa Innox Pro GTX MID TF Boots - Black

Sturdy and durable tactical boots in black, crafted by Lowa. The mid-height upper features a construction of rugged polymer material and hydrophobic suede leather, offering reliable protection for the feet and ankles against injuries. Perfect for uniformed services like the military, police, or border guards, these boots also represent a versatile option for both urban and outdoor activities.

Breathable Gore-Tex membrane

The footwear employs advanced materials with improved water resistance. The breathable and waterproof Gore-Tex membrane guarantees effective air circulation and optimal thermal comfort in any conditions.

ATC insole, Lowa Multi Track sole, MONOWRAP midsole

The ATC insole is designed to maintain a dry interior within the footwear and minimize the chance of blisters. Stability across different terrains is ensured by the non-slip and cushioned rubber sole Lowa Multi Track, which features a profiled tread for superior grip. Additional material layers, along with the PU MONOWRAP midsole, provide protection for toes and heels, shielding against impacts from obstacles like rocks, roots, or curbs. The cushioning system is enhanced by DynaPU material, crafted from polyurethane foam, to boost comfort during wear.

Gore-Tex Membrane feature
Gore-Tex Membrane

Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Gore-Tex is widely used in the production of outdoor clothing and footwear.

ATC Insole feature
ATC Insole

ATC is a type of molded insoles with a composite construction that allows efficient moisture wicking. A layer of felt insulates the foot from gait, providing thermal comfort, and polyethylene filling provides cushioning to protect against injury.

Lowa Multi Trac Tread feature
Lowa Multi Trac Tread

Lowa Multi Trac is a special tread design in the sole based on a triangular profile. Due to its design, it provides optimal traction and stability on various surfaces, as well as comfortable and natural rolling of the foot.

Monowrap sole feature
Monowrap sole

Monowrap is a three-dimensional shoe sole construction technology developed by Lowa. The combination of an injection-molded polyurethane rubber frame along with an outsole and cushioning foam provides better stability and protection for the foot. The sole form absorbs shock and supports the natural movement of the foot when walking.

I will only repeat the most important advantages of Lowa shoes, which are widely known: production in Europe, great quality of workmanship and materials. However, I would like to highlight aspects that may be disappointing if someone is guided by overly high expectations from online reviews. Two popular models, Zephyr and Innox, are often described as sports shoes with a military look, but this isn't an accurate analogy, as they are significantly stiffer. The sole of the Zephyr is so hard that in the low version, the foot can slip out of the shoe while walking, instead of bending naturally. The Innox is minimally more flexible, but still much stiffer than typical everyday shoes. In the MID model, this is not a problem, as it fits the foot better than the LOW. The next issue is the GTX membrane: although GoreTex is reputable, it doesn't really work physically—for example, on hot days, the inside of the shoe becomes wet from sweat anyway. Next time, I will choose a version without GTX. The most important issue is the sole—it looks grippy thanks to its deep treads, but in practice, it doesn’t work well on snow or wet surfaces. The treads are too close together, which causes them to clog quickly. In classic trekking shoes, the gaps are wider, which allows for self-cleaning from snow, but unfortunately this doesn't work in the Innox, causing a complete loss of grip. In summer, spring, and autumn on wet, smooth surfaces, these shoes can be surprisingly slippery—it's hard to believe until you experience it yourself. This is due to the hard compound of the sole—only soft material provides better grip. Because of the hardness (which is supposed to ensure durability), these are the most slippery shoes I’ve had. If someone is looking for something more civilian and comfortable, they should consider the Innox EVO II—my wife has them and is very pleased.

The shoes are comfortable even for all-day wear. They have a durable sole and provide good ankle support, making them reliable for walking on demanding terrain. They are carefully made.
