I bought two sets for a seven-day trip in the mountains in the Balkans – we mainly used them to collect water from standing reservoirs, rainwater stored in containers, and a few water points available on the trails. I have to admit that none of us had any stomach problems, so the filter seems to do its job :) The set is convenient to use and can be used in various ways (filter in the bottle, filter on the bottle, as a straw, or the bottle without the filter as a regular bottle), and switching the individual elements is extremely simple – even easier than assembling Lego bricks. Additionally, I think this is the only place where you can buy a compatible carbon filter (chemical filtration). The water flow here is slower than in a similar set from Sawyer, but still satisfactory. It's worth noting that it was the carbon insert that slowed down the water for us – a friend using the Sawyer set didn't have this issue. Without this addition, the device works at about the same level as the Sawyer. Durability: The navy blue bottle, used intensively for a week in the mountains, survived without any issues. Unfortunately, the gray bottle slightly came apart at the seam at the base (I'm already filing a warranty claim), but the defect was so small that a piece of adhesive tape was enough as a solution.
The retractable filter bottle is lightweight, durable and reusable equipped with a powerful water filter. It is ideal for a wide range of users, from hikers and vacationers to everyday use at the bike, gym or school.
The sturdy bottle cap has a small carrying handle that makes it easy to connect to your backpack with a snap hook or cord. The soft and flexible material allows the bottle to be rolled up and tucked into a backpack, jacket or running belt pocket. As the liquid depletes, the bottle reduces its volume, and when empty it can be folded and takes up little space.
The LifeStraw filter provides easy-to-use water filtration technology that allows you to drink water safely straight from contaminated sources.

I bought two sets with a plan for a week-long trip to the mountains in the Balkans. We used them to collect standing water, rainwater, and water from available sources on the trail. Most importantly, no one experienced any stomach problems—which suggests the filter does its job :) The set is convenient to use, allowing for different configurations (the filter mounted inside or on the bottle, used as a straw, or the bottle used without the filter at all). Reconfiguring the set is very easy, even easier than assembling Lego blocks. An additional advantage is the ability to purchase a carbon filter separately, which distinguishes this product from others. The water flow rate is a bit lower than a similar Sawyer set, but still satisfactory. In our case, it was the carbon filter that slowed down the water, while my friend with a Sawyer didn't use this accessory. Without the carbon filter, performance was very close to its competitor. Durability: the navy blue bottle worked perfectly throughout the trip. The second, gray bottle came slightly unglued at the base (I intend to file a complaint), but the issue was minor enough that a piece of repair tape was enough to fix it.

I took this folding LifeStraw bottle from a friend for a hike. It definitely deserves a recommendation. The build quality is excellent, the material is very flexible, but at the same time reliable and does not leak. The water purification process fully matches the stated specifications. I drank water directly from a forest stream—it was absolutely clean and without any strange aftertaste. My friend also highly praised the store's fast delivery. This is truly a convenient and indispensable item for field conditions.

Great bottle, perfectly does its job. It holds a lot of liquid and is especially useful in places where you need to save space after emptying it. It folds down to a very small size. The additional filter is a nice bonus, although not essential. Despite the flexible material, it seems very durable.

Very good bottle, perfectly fulfills its purpose. It can hold quite a lot of liquid, and works great in places where saving space after drinking matters. It folds down to a really small size. Additionally, a filter is included, though it is not mandatory. Even though it is made of soft material, it seems solid and durable.

The bottle serves its function well – it filters water and doesn’t leave a distinct aftertaste, even when drawing water from a river. However, you should remember that with heavily contaminated water, the filter may not handle it.

The filter works very efficiently – 2000 liters is enough for many years of traveling. After use, you can roll it up, so it takes up little space, which is important during hikes. I highly recommend it.
