The mat works well with heavy weights and protects the floor, for example during deadlifts, provided you use several layers. With just one layer, I wouldn't risk dropping a barbell even from a small height.

The mat is solid and very functional for various sports equipment. For example, I keep my bikes on it, and I use one piece as a stand for a Christmas tree :) The puzzles can be connected at different angles thanks to the special edge cutouts.
