This is a very useful gadget if you don't want to bother inflating a mattress or packraft every time. It can also serve as an emergency way of pumping up different things. The pump is very lightweight—you hardly feel its weight. Unfortunately, even though it folds fairly flat, it does take up a bit of space in a backpack. I wouldn't really recommend it for ultralight trips, but if you value convenience, it's worth considering.
