Highlander Outdoor Lewis Insulated Jacket - Forest Green

Lightweight quilted jacket with hood and high collar, providing effective wind protection and thermal comfort in cold temperatures. Great for outdoor activities in colder weather.

Durable nylon fabric, Tecloft insulation

The model is made of durable 380T nylon, offering excellent wind protection and excellent thermal properties thanks to the Tecloft insulation used. It is characterized by lightweight, high heat retention and excellent compressibility. Tecloft synthetic insulation mimics the properties of natural down, while surpassing it in moisture resistance. As a result, the material provides warmth even in humid conditions, making it an ideal choice for active outdoorsmen, regardless of the weather.

The quilted fit and stand-up collar take care of even distribution of the insulating material, while the elastic panels under the arms ensure freedom of movement and breathability.

The jacket compresses easily, allowing it to be conveniently packed into a backpack. Thanks to its compact size and light weight, it is ideal for longer expeditions where saving space and weight in luggage is important.

Hood with visor, elastic cuffs

The model is fastened with a zipper with a cover that protects against chin irritation. A high collar protects the neck from the cold. Elastic cuffs and an extended back effectively prevent heat loss. In addition, an adjustable hood with a visor protects the head from the cold and can be adjusted to fit a climbing helmet or a thick woolen hat.

3 practical pockets

The jacket is equipped with two hip pockets lined with soft fleece and an internal map pocket, all closed with zippers. Large handles at the zippers make them easy to operate even with gloves.

Inside one of the hip pockets there is an elastic security cord to keep keys or other valuables safe while on the move.

The jacket has its advantages and disadvantages, but overall it performs quite average. Pros: - The Velcro on the hood makes it easier to adjust, especially when wearing a hat or cycling (the hood doesn't slip down onto your face), - The foam visor protects the face from rain, - There are four pockets instead of the three mentioned in the description (though the inner ones do not have zippers), - The material effectively protects from the wind while still being breathable. Cons: - The jacket is fairly thin. Regardless of the insulation used, it does not provide warmth in winter. It works at about +5°C with little exertion, around 0°C with moderate effort (leisurely cycling or walking), or down to -5°C in the mountains, provided you wear a thick thermal long-sleeve underneath, - Lack of a drawstring at the bottom means it lets in drafts, - The wind flap at the main zipper only covers the upper part (about 20 cm), which is odd, - The zipper does not have a strip to prevent snagging and it often gets stuck. Summary: An average product for autumn, costing about 150 PLN too much.
