Polar Highlander Forces Tactical Hirta Fleece - Black is a very good quality fleece, perfect for cooler days. A small suggestion: it's worth wearing an additional thermal layer underneath, because the sweatshirt is not stretchy and often comes out of the pants. Other than that, it's fantastic.
This lightweight tactical fleece is crafted from polyester knitted fabric with a weight of 200 g/m2. The fabric is noted for its abrasion resistance and excellent heat retention capabilities.
Featuring an anatomical cut, it offers unrestricted movement and optimal comfort. Additionally, critical areas are reinforced with stitching. Special mesh panels under the armpits ensure proper air circulation during activities like training, climbing, or bushcraft expeditions.
A partially opening zipper extends down 1/4 of the chest. The collar stand is complemented by a chin guard, which offers extra neck protection and blocks cold air. Cuffs with welts prevent the sleeves from rolling up during use.
A laser-cut zippered pocket is positioned on the left chest, and a velcro panel on the left shoulder permits attaching patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit emblem, or Morale Patches. A built-in loop facilitates hanging the fleece.

The material is unpleasant to the touch, it scratches and irritates the skin. The sizes are correct. Besides the feeling of discomfort on the skin, there is a lack of a velcro panel on the other arm and they could be placed a bit higher, closer to the shoulder.

The fleece sweater is very practical and works well in more challenging conditions. It is lightweight, provides good protection against the cold, and its cut and style are really nice. Made of durable material resistant to wear and tear. I definitely recommend it; I’ve already bought several myself.

The Polar Highlander Forces Tactical Hirta Fleece is a very practical fleece sweater, perfect for tough outdoor conditions. It is lightweight and provides good protection against the cold, making it great for long hikes or colder days. The design is well thought out, and functional additions like the chest zip pocket or velcro patch panel emphasize its tactical style.

Looking for a lightweight fleece that still provides some warmth, I finally found the right model. As a second layer over a T-shirt during autumn walks, it works very well. The fit doesn’t restrict movement, the fleece is comfortable, and the moisture-wicking is at a solid level. The stand-up collar with a zipper allows some control over the temperature, and the cuffs make sure the sleeves don’t move around, which is very important to me. The only downside is the small chest pocket—you can fit at most a pack of cigarettes or some tissues, but nothing larger.
