I bought a second pair of these shoes; the first pair (black) I wore for several years. They are very comfortable and truly waterproof – I’ve gotten them wet in puddles and mud many times, and they have always stayed dry. For trekking shoes, they’re quite light. The sole works great during long walks on flat surfaces, which is what I also use them for. Since the sole is softer than in other shoes of this type, it’s not the best for rocky terrain. The breathability is sufficient, which is a trade-off due to their waterproofness. They don’t look like classic trekking shoes, so they’re also suitable for everyday wear. I’m deducting one star for the lacing solution – the laces only go through 4 eyelets, not 5 as usual, which makes the shoe flex more while walking and bend around the Hi-Tec logo. This is where my old shoes wore out, but I still wear them, so I bought a new pair as well. Overall, for this price they are really solid and highly recommended footwear.
