I’ve already had some time to test this hoodie, and light rain doesn’t bother it. In heavier rain, it works well over a shorter distance, and then it dries quickly. It also provides a bit of warmth. It has quite a few pockets, including internal zip pockets, which are very practical for keys or other things you don’t want to lose. The material is somewhat slick and doesn’t feel like fleece, but at around 10 degrees I was warm in it. I recommend it, especially when it’s on sale.

I chose this hoodie mainly for the great Black/Tiger Stripe pattern – it looks even better in person than in pictures. The combination of black with the distinctive tiger camouflage panels makes a fantastic impression and really stands out in an urban environment. In terms of practicality, this hoodie definitely surpasses classic kangaroo styles – Helikon has equipped it with as many as 10 pockets! The chest and sleeve pockets are fastened with sturdy YKK zippers, ideal for documents or a wallet. Inside the large front pockets, there are smaller compartments, so you don’t have to worry about a mess inside.

The sweatshirt works well for cooler autumn days because it provides quite good warmth thanks to the inner fleece-like layer. Its biggest advantage for me is the pockets, especially the two chest pockets, which can easily fit a phone. Another plus is the small hidden zippered pocket, ideal for small items such as keys. The biggest drawback, however, remains the hood, which in my opinion is too small. Once you put it on, it is difficult to properly cover your head, and in addition the material around the shoulders and neck rides up, which makes it rather uncomfortable to wear. At a discounted price, it is definitely worth buying, whereas at the regular price I would think twice about the purchase.

I bought it mainly because of the promotion — at 135 PLN, it would have been a shame to pass it up. I have all available versions of Helikon kangaroo hoodies, so I have a good basis for comparison. The cut of this hoodie is excellent, and the 10 pockets definitely outperform the competition. It looks very good, is surprisingly warm, and handles light rain well. I previously had the Multicam Black version, and now the Tiger Stripe has arrived. Unfortunately, it has one significant flaw: the main material, namely that black, shiny polyester, is very poor. It pills quickly and snags easily, so it is hard to understand why Helikon used such a lousy fabric in its most expensive hoodie. When I watch videos of someone pushing through forest undergrowth while wearing it, it is more amusing than impressive. This is definitely more of an urban, fairly delicate hoodie that can get damaged even from carrying a backpack. I do not recommend it for intensive outdoor use, but for everyday wear in the city, definitely yes, because it really is a great-looking product.

The sweatshirt is very solidly made. Although the label says Vietnam, to my surprise there are no loose threads, which is often the case with Helikon. The material on the outside, in the areas without camouflage, is slightly slick but pleasant to the touch. The sweatshirt keeps you warm while also providing effective ventilation from the inside. The zippers work flawlessly, the hook-and-loop fasteners are also fine, and the sizing is similar to other clothes from this brand. The cut is quite wide in the chest, while the sizing itself is typically American — even though I usually wear a medium, here I had to order an extra small. It's a shame that Helikon does not use standard European sizing. The sweatshirt can also serve as a first layer, because another layer can easily fit over it. A big plus is the large number of pockets, including internal pockets in the kangaroo pocket, although there is no cable pass-through. The Tiger camouflage looks very good; it is only a pity that it was not used on the back as well. Bought on sale for 135 PLN, it is definitely worth the price, but in my opinion it is not worth paying more for it because it is not without flaws.

I considered buying this hoodie twice, because the first time it was difficult to choose the right size — L turned out to be too small, and XL too loose (I’m 185 cm tall and weigh about 95 kg). In the end, I chose the XL, which works great as an outer layer. When I wear a thin fleece and/or a long-sleeve shirt underneath, I can easily spend half the night in the Bieszczady Mountains watching the stars, even after the campfire has already gone out. I recommend it!

An interesting camouflage combination — I bought this hoodie to go with tigerstripe trousers, and the overall look is really good. Even though the material is mostly 100% polyester, apart from the camouflage inserts, the hoodie fits well and is comfortable to wear. Another plus is the layout and number of pockets, especially the hidden ones. A weaker point, however, is the waistband, or rather its very loose and delicate construction — I have doubts about whether it will stretch out after one or two washes. For comparison, in the Hoodie Lite model the waistband is definitely made better, and I can judge that because I also own that hoodie. I chose size XL so it would be a bit looser. At 183 cm tall and 86 kg, size L also fits, but it is more fitted. Overall, the hoodie is interesting, and bought on sale for 140 PLN it is a great deal — however, the regular price of over 300 PLN is, in my opinion, definitely too high.
