I can fit quite a lot in it: a balaclava, gloves, a multitool, two flashlights, including a headlamp, a folding knife, a 17-centimeter wood saw, containers with matches and fuel from a ration pack, a spare ferro rod, a power bank, a torch lighter, a rain poncho, a waterproof bag, 5 meters of cord, and a few zip ties. Even though the list is already long, there is still no problem fitting a phone in as well. Thanks to the MOLLE system, I also attached a holster with pepper spray and a Mora Risberg. The backpack is comfortable and very spacious. Basically, its only drawback is the price — if it had not been for the winter sale, I would not have decided to spend more than 300 PLN on it.
An ideal bag for lengthy field excursions that enables you to comfortably carry essential gear. It combines the features of both a backpack and a bag, linked by suspenders and a comfortable mesh panel at the back. The Numbat bag facilitates carrying heavy gear and ensures quick access to it.
The primary compartment includes multiple pockets and attachments, along with a detachable organizer that serves as a map holder on the opposite side. Internal cords on both sides of the main compartment allow stabilization at various angles when open.
Additional inserts compatible with the Versatile Insert System can be attached to the main compartment. Two elastic flat pockets are located on the outer front wall.
An elastic, adjustable cord is attached to the bottom of the bag, allowing you to secure items like a rolled-up jacket or blouse. Side loops enable the attachment of carabiners. Additionally, MOLLE/PALS system webbing is sewn onto the bag for affixing extra equipment.
The suspenders, adjustable in length, can be quickly released using four Woojin buckles. Soft 3D Mesh panels sewn into the part of the bag next to the body help neutralize vibration and shock.

The small chest pack suits me better than the larger model. Thanks to its smaller size, it is neater and I get the impression that it fits better, at least in my case. As for the build quality, I have nothing to complain about — Helikon maintains a high standard.
-
It really is a well-made and thoughtfully designed piece of equipment, just like all Helikon gear is. Another way to use it when you're not out in nature is to unclip the harness and use it as an EDC pouch in your backpack.

This is a very durable well made chest bag, I love the fact when it opens its held in place like a shelf so it acts as a sort of organiser which can be used while on the move. My only complaint about this chest pack are the available colours which I am not a big fan of. I did purchase the grey one but sadly this doesn't blend in well with the rest of my kit and for that reason I tend to wear a waist pack with my backpack instead. If they would release a version in OD or ranger green I would purchase this again.

I am very satisfied with the purchase of the Helikon bag – it is durable and well-made. The attachment system works great, and the adjustment allows for a comfortable fit while walking. The bag has many compartments and is very spacious. I definitely recommend it.

My Numbat weighs 466 g. I chose the "older" version because it's a bit bigger. This small difference (28 cm) means I can fit my thermal mug, which is 26 cm long, inside. There's still space for two flasks, glasses, a thick hat, thin gloves, a few bars, etc. Unfortunately, the cords are definitely too short—for the inner one by about 5-6 cm. The stopper allows you to limit how much the bag opens, but it would be nice to have the option to fully open it to 180 degrees. The lower external cord squeezes the bag a bit and makes it hard to stash something like a flashlight with a 30 mm diameter. The external pockets can fit pepper spray or a flat, small flashlight. The bag is solidly made. I might also buy the smaller version because it's much lighter—would be great for the summer. This current bag will be perfect for winter, so I don't have to take off my backpack when I want to drink some tea with an extra touch.

Instead of a waist bag, I chose this product and it works great for walks in the forest. Nothing bothers around the waist, it doesn't slip off, and all the needed items fit easily. I have everything at hand, you can even attach gloves. It's just a pity that a phone doesn't fit in the two front pockets – one larger pocket on the front for a phone would be a better solution. Wearing it is comfortable, nothing digs in, and it can be easily adjusted to fit.

I bought it specifically for my spinning fishing trips and it performs excellently in this role. It easily holds all the tackle boxes and essential gear for this method of fishing. I highly recommend this purchase to other spinning anglers.

An excellent alternative to various types of pouches, especially during trips abroad – you keep everything in front and in sight. Very well made, certified Cordura used.
-
A well-designed and practical add-on with many compartments. It complements your gear perfectly, especially when taking a smaller backpack on a long trip. It allows you to quickly access the essentials without removing your backpack (and if you have a camelback inside—even better). Every pocket is well placed, helping you organize content better and making it easier to reach your items. I definitely recommend it!

I have mixed feelings – there are strong points, but also some downsides. The pros are solid construction, good material quality, nice color, practical map case, and an elastic band that locks the pocket. Unfortunately, the front elastic pockets are very narrow and I haven't yet figured out a use for them. The internal pockets and organizers, although numerous, make the pocket very stuffed when filled. The straps are very short – people with a bigger build might find the adjustment lacking, making it hard to put the organizer on a jacket or fleece. With a 3XL jacket and a stuffed pocket, it's hard to fit it under outerwear; it gets tight. I tested it during a walk at 41°F (5°C) and it quickly got hot under the pocket. It's hard to imagine being comfortable in hot weather with more exertion. I think it's worth considering everything carefully before buying.
-
A great option instead of traditional waist bags or fanny packs worn on the belt. It's more stable on the chest. I highly recommend it to everyone, it's really worth it.
-
I recommend the Helikon-Tex Chest Pack Numbat travel bag – it works great with my backpack, doesn't get in the way, doesn't press, it's very spacious and perfect for long hikes.
-
I use the bag in the mountains when I take a small backpack. I keep all the necessary items in this product, so I always have them within reach. The bag is very solid and doesn't restrict movement. I recommend it.
-
A practical and spacious chest rig, I use it, among other things, while cycling – it’s more comfortable than a waist bag and doesn’t cause much sweating on the chest. All the necessary things are easily accessible. I recommend it!
