Helikon-Tex Meriono Socks - Olive Green/Coyote

Midweight trekking socks from Helikon-Tex, crafted with 79% Merino wool. They preserve warmth even when damp, while flat seams provide added comfort and minimize the possibility of chafing during hikes.

Merino Wool

The socks consist of 79% natural Merino wool, 18% nylon, and 3% elastane. Merino wool offers natural antibacterial qualities, helping the socks to resist unpleasant odors even after long-term wear. The fabric is soft on the skin and retains thermal insulation even when wet. Nylon contributes to durability and abrasion resistance, while elastane provides flexibility and a comfortable fit.

Flat seams

The socks are designed with a minimal number of seams to lower the chance of chafing. Flat joins are scarcely noticeable against the skin and avert irritation even on extended hikes. Ventilation panels on top enhance moisture wicking. The elastic cuff offers a secure fit around the ankle.

Main features

  • Composed of 79% Merino wool
  • Flat seams designed to be non-irritating
  • Medium thickness ideal for both transitional and cooler temperatures
  • Elastic cuff around the ankle
  • Natural material resists odor absorption

These socks contain more merino wool compared to Pentagon socks and are also thicker. They are more resistant to wear and provide good ventilation for the feet. I mainly use them during demanding marches and difficult conditions. They do not cause chafing or blisters.

Very good socks that should be included in everyone’s gear. Thanks to the use of merino wool, they effectively wick away moisture and, most importantly, do not retain unpleasant odors. You can use them for several days in a row during outdoor trips and they still stay fresh, which is extremely important when camping in nature or during long hikes. The price is very attractive in relation to the quality and composition. Sometimes you have to wait for them because they sell out quickly, but it’s worth the wait!

The socks are warm and thick. In winter, they work great, providing comfort. When it's warmer, they still breathe well and don't cause sweating or chafing of the feet. After two weeks of wearing two pairs alternately every day, there are no visible damages or abrasions.

The socks are worth your attention. They are very comfortable and wick away moisture perfectly. They are ideal for autumn. They fit the foot perfectly and do not constrict. I definitely recommend them.

They look very good, and even though they are not very thick, they keep you warm. Probably because of the high Merino wool content, they feel very nice on the foot, giving a "natural" sensation, which is why I chose them. It is also possible that this is why they might wear out more quickly. But it is truly a pleasure to wear them.

The socks are warm and do not cause chafing, but they are very poorly durable. After buying 3 pairs, holes and worn spots quickly appeared on the heels and soles. The manufacturer should improve the durability by using a stronger material or a better design.

The socks are very warm – they work great both for city walks on freezing days and for trips out of town. I also tested them in mountain boots in the Tatra Mountains and they performed excellently. I will definitely buy another pair and can confidently recommend them! 5/5

The shoes are very comfortable and fit well, but their durability leaves much to be desired. I bought two pairs and both wore out quickly – one after three months, the other lasted about seven. In both cases, the material wore through at the heels and toes, and started to fall apart when rubbed.

Super fit, warm and very comfortable to wear. The pilling is there, but not really bothersome. The durability is just extremely poor. I must have had at least 8 pairs, and only 2 pairs are left; all of them have worn out at the heel sole.

These socks are worth recommending. They are very comfortable and wick moisture efficiently. They work great during autumn. They fit the foot perfectly without causing a feeling of pressure. I definitely recommend them.

A friend recommended these socks to me and even though I wasn't convinced at first, I decided to buy them to give them a try. They worked great at DZSW, I didn't have to worry about being cold. I recommend them to everyone, these socks are worth their price. I will definitely come back here to buy them again.

I do not recommend these socks. After the first use, they became very pilled, and after the next, a hole appeared in one which I had to sew up. The socks are indeed warm, but in terms of durability, they perform poorly.

Great socks – for military and trekking boots, I only recommend merino! After washing, there is slight pilling, but it doesn't bother in socks. Very comfortable, your feet don't emit unpleasant odors, and they provide comfort both in hot and cold weather. I have several pairs and they work well all year round.

Good socks from a Polish company. I have different models made from merino wool and these perform very well, they are of medium thickness and dry quickly. Thanks to the addition of nylon and elastane, they are less prone to pilling and more durable. They work well both for everyday use and for trips to the mountains or the forest. I recommend them.

Very comfortable socks. Plus for the addition of elastane and nylon, which makes them dry faster. After sleeping in a sleeping bag, I had dry socks ready to wear in the morning.
