The chemical light stick is designed for single-use. It operates through a chemical reaction when two chemical solutions mix. To initiate the reaction, the tube needs to be bent. This slight bending causes the solutions to react with one another, producing light. The process is completely safe.

Infrared light cannot be seen by the naked eye, making it an excellent tool for setting traps. An intruder lacking night vision capability won't detect obstacles or ties in the dark, while a guard using night vision can notice the slightest movements of light and shadow, even from a range ten times more than the standard reach of the device.

The process does not produce any heat energy. Chemical lights are remarkable sources of light that do not need an external power source. They are exceptionally light and efficient, making them perfect for signaling, marking positions, providing emergency information, marking accident sites, fitting on vests, or serving as an alternative light source. Their primary benefit is the 360-degree emission of light. These lights are non-toxic and non-flammable.
