Helikon-Tex Level 7 Climashield Apex 100 g Jacket - Shadow Grey
Winter light jacket in Shadow Grey color that provides excellent insulation and protection against cold even in very low temperatures. The synthetic insulation Climashield Apex maintains its properties even when wet, and the external Rip-Stop fabric enhances tear resistance. This model is designed in accordance with the ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) and serves as the main insulating layer in challenging weather conditions. It features a stowable hood and spacious pockets.
Climashield Apex Insulation and Outer Material
The jacket contains lightweight synthetic insulation Climashield Apex with a grammage of 100 g/m2, providing thermal comfort even in frigid weather. The insulation remains functional despite moisture, dries quickly, and is easy to compress in the included compression bag. The external material is 100% Nylon with a Rip-Stop weave, improving resistance to damage and tears. An additional teflon coating makes the jacket resistant to light rain and stains.
Spacious Pockets and Hook-and-Loop Fastening Cuffs
The jacket is equipped with a total of 5 spacious pockets:
- two chest pockets lined with fleece, closed with YKK zippers, with compartments for a phone or small electronic accessories
- one internal pocket on the left chest side closed with a zipper
- two lower internal mesh pockets for quick drying of wet items
The sleeves feature elastic cuffs with hook-and-loop fastening (Velcro), allowing adjustment to the number of clothing layers worn.
Stowable Hood, Velcro Panels, and Elastic Drawstrings
The jacket is equipped with a helmet and cap-compatible adjustable hood. The hood is stored in a collar fastened with a double zipper. The jacket is fastened along its entire length with a double-sided YKK zipper, facilitating access to items on the belt without fully unzipping. On the shoulders are Velcro panels for attaching patches, badges, or so-called Morale Patches. Elastic drawstrings with stoppers at the bottom of the jacket ensure a better fit and prevent heat loss.
