The Chinook model features a 2.5 L membrane, providing water resistance of 20000 mm/m2 and breathability of 10000 g/m2/24h. Vents under the arms allow for body temperature regulation. The jacket is covered with a hydrophobic DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating free from harmful PFC. Additional moisture protection includes taped seams and YKK zippers.

The adjustable hood with a high collar effectively protects against rain and wind. Velcro-fastened cuffs and waist drawstrings allow for adjusting the jacket to individual user requirements. The main zipper is two-way, secured with a Prym snap. When folded, the jacket takes up little space.
