Initially, I wasn't a fan of this type of hat, but over time my attitude changed. Unlike a regular cap, it hides the shape of the body better and can be used together with mosquito nets for the head. This model is rather shallow, but well made. It is comfortable and stays securely on the head.

The hat is very well made and looks great in person. I appreciate that Helikon used camouflage tape around the hat – this is a positive change compared to older models. The headgear is comfortable, well-designed, and the brim has the perfect width – it's neither too narrow nor too wide. The sizing is accurate, so be sure to measure your head circumference about 1 cm above your eyebrows. If your measurement falls between two sizes, it's better to choose the larger one, as the smaller might be too tight.

Be careful with the size, I recommend measuring your head with a tailor's measuring tape and choosing according to the chart (or try on if there are official Helikon dealers in your city). My head is 61cm, that's XL, even though I am not a large person. Different models may fit differently, so look closely at the sizing chart and measure your head carefully. This is already my third bucket hat, it’s very cool. There is ventilation, quality stitching, and it's durable. It's better to watch the official video. It folds into a pocket, and there is an orange fabric inside so you can use it as a signal in the “green” or if needed, so you don't lose it.

In the past few months I've bought three Helikon-Tex Mk2 boonie hats, black, multicam & woodland camo. I really rate them. They are well made, good quality and very comfortable to wear. The size guide is spot on. My head is size 61cm and the xl fits perfectly. As I've said in previous reviews I own boonie hats made by other manufacturers and also some from the British Army & the Helikon-Tex hats are the best by far. Recommended

The hat is great and fully met my expectations. The material is very good—it has survived many rainy days. The hat got wet but dried without any problems and still wears excellently. Importantly, my head stayed dry, so it really does protect well from the rain. It works well both in the rain, sun, in the forest, or during tactical activities. An additional plus is the Velcro at the back, allowing you to attach a flag.
