Camouflage PL Woodland

Helikon-Tex PL Woodland camouflage is the name given by the manufacturer to a camouflage that is a close equivalent of wz. 93 “Panther”, in force in the Polish Armed Forces. Superimposed on a gray-green background, irregular patches of black, brown and green provide good camouflage in the open and wooded areas of Poland and other Central European countries.

Review summary

Automatically prepared based on reviews

Helikon BDU MK2 trousers receive praise for their comfort, practical and spacious pockets, and durable construction. Customers appreciate the adjustable waistband and leg closures, as well as the more tailored fit compared to classic BDU models. The trousers perform well both for daily wear and outdoor activities, with users highlighting their versatile functionality. Noted downsides include varying sizing between models, some issues with belt loops being too narrow, and the fabric being occasionally thinner or containing more polyester than desired. Some mention color differences from photos and the fact that black versions attract lint. Overall, these trousers are recommended for their comfort, quality, and utility.

I’ve been wearing these pants for two weeks now, and I’m very happy with them. They have roomy thigh pockets, as you’d expect from cargo pants, but I especially liked the small pocket on the right thigh — it’s perfect for a folding knife or a small flashlight. In addition, the material dries very quickly; after being splashed with water, it’s dry in about an hour, which I consider a big advantage. I definitely recommend them!

Helikon pants are well made and reasonably priced. They really do have quite a slim fit, so it is worth choosing one size up. In black, they look elegant, so they pair easily with a T-shirt for going out into town. The pockets are roomy and sensibly placed.

The cut of these pants resembles the Pentagon BDU 2.0 model, but that one, with a 35% cotton and 65% polyester blend, is rather uncomfortable on warmer days. With a 50/50 composition, these should perform better. If they had even more cotton, around 60%, they would be nearly ideal. Even so, they still come across quite well overall. It’s worth being careful with the sizing—ideally, try them on or choose a larger size, as they seem to run slightly small. Alternatively, you could consider a different pants model.

I have the BDU mk2 model and I must admit that I prefer its tapered fit, although that is of course a matter of taste. Overall, these are standard BDU trousers, but in a slightly slimmer cut and with an additional pocket. The Woodland version looks good, and the workmanship is also decent. The only thing that would help is more cotton, ideally in a 60% cotton to 40% polyester ratio.

The previous model was better – it had two practical, hidden pockets, for example for a phone, and wider main pockets. In the new model, I can't even put my hand in the pocket. The only plus in the current version is the wider belt loops.

Already the second pair of pants since I liked the first one, this time in grey. Very well-made pants in the usual good quality. Very relaxed fit. I'm 177 cm and athletically slim, chose size M, I would describe the fit as loose/baggy...

The pants are well made and very comfortable. They have roomy pockets, an adjustable waist, and quick-drying material, which is a big plus. I definitely recommend this product.

Pants have a proper fit, not too slim or too wide. I recommend them for summer as the fabric is very thin. Disappointed by the depth of the pockets, they are very shallow. Slight concern about the durability of the closure buttons, will see over time.

Very well-made pants in the usual good quality. Should last a long time. Classic BDU with a very loose fit. I am 177 cm tall and athletically slim, chose size M, and I would describe the fit as wide/baggy.

The pants are sturdy and very comfortable, which makes tasks easier to perform efficiently. Their price-to-quality and comfort ratio is very attractive. There are drawstrings sewn at the bottom of the legs, allowing you to tie the ends of the pants to prevent anything from getting under them.

Helikon BDU MK2 pants are solidly made. Compared to the SFU NEXT MK2, which I have had for about three years, the hip pockets in these models are designed better, making them more practical. The material is a bit stiffer because it does not have elastane. The cut is also a bit looser than in the SFU NEXT MK2. Since the previous model performed well after several years of continuous use, I am not worried about durability. The only remark concerns the sizing – Helikon provides the same size chart for both models, but Militaria shows two different ones, and in my opinion, the charts on the Militaria website are more accurate. I wear size L: in the SFU NEXT MK2 they fit just right, here the BDU MK2 are about 3 cm too long, but shortening them is enough. Besides that, these pants are great for everyday use, walks in the forest, or in the mountains. I can recommend them.

Solid pants, they seem durable and carefully sewn. They have spacious pockets and a great waistband. These are my favorite pants and I will definitely buy them in another color. I highly recommend them.

I'm a fan of the Helikon brand, but these pants are a complete disappointment for me. The material and workmanship are fine, but the cut is so uncomfortable that I can't even wear them! For over 20 years, I've used BDU pants from various manufacturers—MIL-TEC, TESAR, and others—and they've always been comfortable. Unfortunately, this model from Helikon just didn't work for me, and I'm also surprised by the lack of a flap at the fly.

This is already the third time I am buying BDU MK2 pants. I’ve had the two previous pairs since 2022 and I am very satisfied. There are no abrasions, the material does not tear or fray. The color has remained intact. The sizing also matches the chart. I definitely recommend them.

I bought them for work because Carhartts wore out quickly, and these are durable. They also have a small pocket, which is great for pens and similar things. The whole design is complemented by a loose, comfortable fit that also looks really good.
