Helikon-Tex ACU PolyCotton Rip-Stop Patrol Cap - UCP
A patrol-type cap with a short brim made in UCP camouflage. The model is sewn from durable PoliCotton Rip-Stop material, which is a blend of cotton and polyester. There is a Velcro panel on the back, allowing for the attachment of emblems, flags, unit markings, and so-called Morale Patches. The brim effectively protects the eyes and face from sunlight, making the cap suitable for outdoor activities, visits to the shooting range, official duties, and everyday use. The patrol cap is produced in the Universal Camouflage Pattern color scheme, used by line units in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Durable PoliCotton RipStop material, grammage 215 g/m2
The cap is sewn from high-quality PoliCotton Rip-Stop material composed of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The fabric is distinguished by high resistance to abrasions and tears, and thanks to the polyester content, it is lighter and dries faster than 100% cotton materials. The material has a grammage of 215 g/m2, providing a proper balance between durability and user comfort.
Velcro panel, hidden pocket
On the back of the cap, there is a Velcro strip allowing the attachment of selected emblems such as the national flag, unit insignia, or Morale Patches. This allows for cap personalization and appearance customization to suit individual preferences.
Inside the cap, there is a hidden pocket, useful for storing small items like a map. The model performs well during forest walks, protecting the head from the sun, falling leaves, and insects.

UCP Camouflage
UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.

This is my second cap of this kind (I lost the previous one). Plus for availability of large sizes (I wear 62). The cap is comfortable and stays on the head well. Very nice hidden pocket. It might get a bit too warm in it during hot weather.
