The buckle is very well made, solid, flat, and works comfortably. The lock is a great idea, although at this size there is little risk of accidental opening. The lack of locking teeth is surprising – it's a bit puzzling, especially with such a well-designed product that features a lock. I bought the buckle for a large Mystery Ranch hip bag (8 liters), but the straps slide through it without resistance. I had to use additional inserts to keep the strap better secured. In my opinion, this product works best with thick, rough straps. However, most wide straps are made from thin materials to be lighter, which requires additional solutions to prevent the strap from slipping. Despite this, I think this product is worth considering.
Snap buckle crafted from robust plastic. Designed to accommodate webbing up to 51 mm wide, this buckle features a rotary opening lock, echoing the safety mechanism of AR15 carbine triggers, to avert any unintentional release. The locking lever, if damaged, is easily replaceable with a new one.
Operating this buckle is straightforward, even while wearing thicker gloves.

Hazard 4 is an American brand specializing in the design of advanced tactical equipment and clothing for the military, uniformed services, outdoor enthusiasts, and extreme sports enthusiasts. Its motto, “Progressive Modular Gear,” reflects an approach based on continuous development and modularity, allowing equipment to be easily adapted to changing conditions and tasks. The products are manufactured using modern technologies, such as durable Cordura materials, laser-cut MOLLE panels, water-repellent coatings, and ergonomic carrying systems inspired by military solutions. Before the brand officially entered the market, its civilian models were already in operational use by professionals, including FBI agents, aviation personnel, and foreign unit operators, who often removed the Civilian series markings to adapt the equipment to the specifics of tactical operations. Today's Hazard 4 portfolio is a response to the real needs of these users – a combination of durability, functionality, and innovative thinking about the design and ergonomics of the equipment.
