The shoes are well-made and, most importantly, extremely comfortable (although, of course, this depends on the shape of your foot). They are lightweight and have good ventilation for footwear with a Gore-Tex membrane, so even after a whole day of wearing them, my feet stay in great condition. I haven't tested them yet on longer hikes, but my experience so far makes me optimistic that they'll handle tougher conditions as well. I have no complaints about their waterproofness—after treating them with Hadwao Nano Textil, they don't let any moisture in. Although I haven't worn them in swamps, they handled fresh snow perfectly. The sole also deserves praise, providing good grip on dry and wet surfaces, as well as on snow. Someone pointed out that the outer membrane has a diluted wine color, but at my work, no one noticed this, so I don't consider it a flaw. Under artificial light, it appears more brown, and the color is more pronounced outside. Another plus is the quick lacing system with a zipper, although traditional lacing is also possible if someone prefers it. In summary, these are very good shoes that could be an attractive alternative to shoes from the brand starting with the letter "L." For those undecided, I recommend considering this model from Haix.
