MultiCam is a cutting-edge camouflage design created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as a part of the Objective Force Warrior program. The objective was to develop a flexible camouflage pattern that performs effectively across diverse terrains and fluctuating environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors, which smoothly transition between various shades of green, brown, and beige. This results in the pattern's ability to effectively merge with its surroundings, adopting green hues in wooded areas or brown and beige tones in desert locales. In Central and Eastern European settings, it particularly excels during the fall and in areas with dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special operations units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted this camouflage pattern for soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the former Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also accessible to civilian users, making it a favored choice among military or airsoft aficionados.
