In my opinion, the detector has a few flaws that I want to point out, since its advantages have already been reviewed many times. First, it's easy to miss valuable items if they're next to rusty junk, and second, it can sometimes be unstable at high frequency. There are also occasional incorrect depth indications and the pinpoint mode isn't perfect. I don't think these are manufacturing defects. Despite everything, the detector is worth recommending, but it's worth considering what applications you will use it for.

The Ace 400i is fine, but after a few years with the Nel Thunder coil, it's a top choice. Despite complaints, it really gets the job done. I also have the ORX DEUS, which is better for small items, but the two complement each other. I recommend them.
