After an initial purchase in autumn, I bought a second pair of these shoes, size 44. They feel great and perform very well. The past winter I have alternated wearing them with a pair of Lowa Zephyr GTX mid (also bought at militaria.pl). The conclusion is that the Garmont is lighter, more breathable and perform excellent on days with temperatures below 0°C, as well as up to 15 °C. No sweating, good ventilation, and comfort all day long. As for durability, I cannot tell yet. As a side note, I have to wear orthopedic soles for a while, treating a damaged foot, and these Garmont shoes are absolutely perfect for that. I recommend them to everyone.

The shoes made a good impression on me. They are really light – size 41 weighs 940 g, which makes them among the lightest I own. On the downside, there is currently limited freedom of movement around the shins (e.g. when squatting); maybe this will improve over time or maybe I just have them tied too tightly.
