Temperatures and usage conditions
The Ardal sleeping bag's temperature ratings adhere to the EN 13537 standards:
- T-comfort: 14°C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably throughout the night,
- T-limit: 10°C – the coldest temperature at which a man can rest without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -3°C – the minimum temperature a person can survive using the sleeping bag. Not advised for frequent use.
210T Rip-Stop polyester, polyamide lining
The exterior is crafted from 210T Rip-Stop polyester, providing robust protection against abrasion and mechanical damage. The woven structure helps ensure that any tears do not easily expand. The interior features a finish of 190T polyamide. The lower portion is designed in a footbox shape to align with the natural foot position, minimizing empty space and enhancing thermal insulation in that region. Inside, a small pocket is available for essentials, along with loops for attaching an additional thermal liner.
MICROfill Super-Therm insulation
The sleeping bag's interior features MICROfill Super-Therm synthetic insulation, noted for its lightweight and softness. Its microfiber structure guarantees excellent loft and superior insulation performance. The material retains its thermal properties even after numerous washes.
Right-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
The sleeping bag features a two-way zipper on the right side, which can be opened from both the top and bottom for easier entry and exit. A fluorescent puller improves usability in the dark. Thanks to the Anti-Bite system, the fabric does not snag in the zipper. From the inside, the zipper is protected with a thermal baffle. This model can be zipped together with another bag from the same series.
Integrated hood for cold protection, Duo drawcord
The integrated 3D hood greatly enhances thermal insulation by closely conforming to the head and minimizing heat loss. Its ergonomic design offers excellent protection against wind and moisture. The Duo drawcord combines elastic and webbing effectively – the elastic near the neck permits free hand movement without needing adjustments, while the webbing at the back allows for rapid loosening at a designated area, which is particularly beneficial in low-visibility scenarios, such as nighttime.
Convenient transport and storage
The model is crafted for effortless transport and compression. When folded, it measures 27 x 14 cm and weighs 800 g, making it an ideal option for hiking and expeditions where every gram is crucial.
