The G-1000 HeavyDuty S material consists of a blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% organic cotton. Renowned for its exceptional durability and resistance to mechanical damage and wear, this makes the backpack perfect for heavy use even in challenging conditions. Featuring a reinforced base made from waterproof 500D polyamide, the backpack can be safely placed on the ground without the risk of moisture seeping inside.

The backpack features a roomy main compartment offering a 48-liter capacity, finished with a soft extension and secured by a drawstring. The compartment is protected by a completely detachable flap which is fastened to the backpack using four fastex buckles. The lid includes two useful zippered pockets, while the hip belt is equipped with two small, handy pockets for small gear. A bottom zipper grants easy access to items in the lower section of the main compartment. The backpack is designed to accommodate a hydration system.

The carry system features adjustable shoulder straps with soft padding to minimize shoulder chafing. These straps are wide and contoured to ensure even weight distribution across the shoulders. With a wooden frame, the carry system can be adjusted by altering the position of the upper section, allowing the back length to match the user's height and attaching it higher or lower to the rear buckle. For added comfort during hikes, the backpack includes an adjustable chest strap. The hip belt, covered in breathable 3D mesh, distributes weight evenly to enhance comfort on longer excursions. A carrying handle is positioned at the top, facilitating ease in carrying and lifting.

The backpack features elastic straps on the front, sides, and top, enabling the addition of extra system-compatible pockets and accessories (not included). Compression straps on the sides allow for adjustment to fit the carried gear. The fastex buckles provide extra security by preventing the main zipper from opening. An elastic cord on the front makes it easy to carry items like a jacket. Longer items such as trekking poles, a tripod, or an ice ax can also be attached to the backpack.

Constructed without PFAS, this model ensures the material is free from chemicals that might be hazardous to health or the environment. Additionally, the backpack comes equipped with a rain cover.
