ESS Jumpmaster Tactical Goggles - Terrain Tan EE7035-04

Lightweight ballistic goggles designed for airborne units and users operating in demanding tactical conditions. Low-profile, aerodynamic design is effective during parachute jumps, helicopter flights, and driving vehicles, providing effective eye protection. The model features a clear ballistic visor with a 100% UVA/UVB filter, a Terrain Tan frame, and a Full Strap elastic band with a quick release system.

Visor made of polycarbonate, clearzone flowcoat technology

Visor made of high-quality polycarbonate with a thickness of 2.6 mm, characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage and exceptional optical quality. A distortion-free design offers a wide field of vision and effective ballistic protection during tactical operations and use in difficult terrains. The applied ClearZone FlowCoat technology protects the visor surface from scratches and reduces lens fogging. The Clear transparent visor offers visible light transmission at the level of 90% and provides 100% protection against UVA and UVB radiation.

Frames with opfoam padding

The special frame design uses hinges at the strap attachment points, increasing the goggles' compatibility with most available helmets and helmets. This solution improves the fit of the set to the user's equipment and wearing comfort in dynamic situations. The Full Strap version has a 35 mm wide elastic strap with convenient adjustment and a quick-release system that allows efficient component replacement without tools. The comfort of use is enhanced by antibacterial OpFoam foam, which fits well to the face and increases hygiene during long-term wear.

Resistance and standards

  • ANSI Z87.1-2010 - standard concerning the resistance of protective glasses to impacts and mechanical hazards.
  • U.S. MIL SPEC MIL-DTL-32432 - military ballistic standard confirming the visor's resistance to fragments and combat threats.
  • CE EN 166 - European standard regarding individual eye protection during work and specialist activities.
  • US Federal OSHA - compliance with the requirements of American occupational safety and health regulations.

EN166 feature
EN166

EN166 is a European standard for optical requirements and mechanical protection for glasses and goggles. Optical requirements include light transmission and diffusion, refractive properties, heat and UV resistance, corrosion and ignition. Mechanical protection is the resistance to object impact, within which there are 4 levels designated by the letters S, F, B and A, where S is the least protection and A is the highest.

ANSI Z87.1 feature
ANSI Z87.1

Z87.1 standard developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for the durability of eye protectors. The quality of the product is very high. However, in my opinion, it won't work in war, because they are not sturdy enough. The protective case for the glasses is made of thin fabric - in my view, it should be more durable. Additionally, the glasses are mainly intended for people with narrow faces. In my case, they don't fit well at the eyebrows and there is a gap between them and my skin. For these reasons, I decided to return them.
