These are some of the best glasses I’ve had – I also have ICE, but these definitely win. They combine everything that’s best in ESS ICE, and they don’t fog up at all, even with a mask, which is very important.
ESS Crossbow One tactical glasses - Clear
The ballistic glasses from the Cross-Series were created for individuals needing effective eye protection in tactical situations, during military training, and while working in challenging conditions. Their construction combines high resistance to mechanical damage with comfort for long-term wear and the ability to quickly change configurations.
Visors made from durable polycarbonate, DedBolt mounting system
Clear visors made from 2.4 mm thick polycarbonate have 90% visible light transmission and provide 100% protection against UVA/UVB radiation. The ClearZone FlowCoat technology protects the outer surface of the visor from scratches and the inner part from fogging. Thanks to ESS Optics technology, all image distortions are eliminated across the entire visor surface, ensuring natural environmental perception and optimal sharpness of vision. The implemented DedBolt system allows for quick and convenient visor replacement without tools, enabling the glasses to adapt to changing lighting conditions. The Cross-Series construction allows for visor exchange with others in this series or the use of Suppressor frames, which work excellently with hearing protectors or head-mounted communication systems.
Flexible frames, Tri-Tech Fit technology
Flexible frames made with Tri-Tech Fit technology ensure even pressure distribution, eliminating pressure points during wear. This solution significantly increases comfort, allowing for long-term use without discomfort.
Slim temples with thickness from 3.5 to 5 mm are compatible with active hearing protectors and head-mounted communication systems. The inner part of the temples is covered with anti-slip material, increasing stability during movement. The model is also equipped with an interchangeable nose piece made of composite and silicone, enhancing fit for various face shapes.
Protective standards.
The glasses meet the following protective standards:
- ANSI Z87.1 – 2010 (civilian standard, USA)
- MIL SPEC MIL-PRF-31013, section 3.5.1.1 (military standard, USA)
- CE – compliance with EN 166:2001, EN 170, EN 172 standards

The use of ClearZone FlowCoat technology protects the outside of the visor from scratching and the inside from fogging.
Tri-Tech Fit is a technology used in flexible glasses frames. It provides high wearing comfort and eliminates pressure points. It allows the glasses to fit the shape of the user's head.
DedBolt snap-in system allows for easy and very quick replacement of the visor - it is mounted by means of contoured notches on its edges and a hole in the center of the glasses.
ESS Optics is a standard used in visors that prevents image distortion and provides 100% UVA and UVB protection.
EN166 is a European standard for optical requirements and mechanical protection for glasses and goggles. Optical requirements include light transmission and diffusion, refractive properties, heat and UV resistance, corrosion and ignition. Mechanical protection is the resistance to object impact, within which there are 4 levels designated by the letters S, F, B and A, where S is the least protection and A is the highest.
EN172 European standard specifying markings and transmittance and corresponding test methods for sunscreens that protect against solar glare.
Z87.1 standard developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for the durability of eye protectors. The standard includes two types of tests (3 tests) for the impact resistance of the lens and the stability of its seating in the frame: resistance to High Mass and High Velocity objects.
EN170 standard specifies protection levels and transmittance requirements for UV protection filters. Protective glasses complying with this standard provide the necessary protection against excessive ultraviolet radiation, which can lead to loss of visual clarity and deterioration of vision.
MIL-PRF-31013 is an American military standard that covers the requirements for protective glasses that provide ballistic eye protection. The standard specifies the glasses' ability to withstand the impact of a .15-inch (3.8-mm) steel bullet weighing 0.376 grams at 200 m/s.

The glasses are of very high quality, I am very satisfied with the purchase. They are perfect for shooting, made from durable and strong material – they seem indestructible. Visibility through the lenses is clear and without any distortion. Great product, worth buying, I recommend it!
-
Some of the best glasses I’ve ever had. They are well-shaped, don’t get in the way when aiming, and don’t fog up. Highly recommend.
-
Not much needs to be said – these are in a class of their own and fit the nose exceptionally well.
-
They fit well and provide protection when cycling.
-
Excellent.
-
They are resistant to damage, provide a wide field of vision, don’t fog up yet, and will definitely work for a long time.
-
Recommend – they allow you to buy a clip-on for prescription lenses.
-
They are lightweight, comfortable, and very easily adapt to the shape of the face.
-
They work great for airsoft.
-
They are lightweight, do not distort the view, and the wide visor does not limit perspective. Fogging depends on weather conditions and the user.
-
They are comfortable and lightweight, and most importantly – unlike some glasses in a similar price range, they don't fog up. The price might seem high, but they are really worth it. Highly recommend!
-
There are cheaper alternatives, but once you start using them, the price doesn't matter – they are very light and almost unnoticeable on your face, and they fog up much less than other safety glasses.
-
Perfect glasses for use with an assault rifle and a red dot sight – the traditional bridge doesn’t block visibility, which gives full view and eye protection. Additionally, they have a reinforced polycarbonate coating and a very attractive appearance.
-
I use these glasses interchangeably with the Crosshair; they are very solid and durable, and with proper care, they don’t fog up at all.
