Very well-made product – nothing is coming apart, all the stitches are neatly sewn. The backpack is comfortable to use, and the price-to-quality ratio is excellent, so I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The capacity really matches the description, and you can easily fit a lot of things in it.
Patrol backpack with a capacity of 18 liters made of durable and abrasion-resistant nylon.
The Small version is a smaller and simplified version of the Halifax Medium backpack. The side walls are equipped with a laser-cut MOLLE mounting system. This allows you to attach additional pouches or, for example, a first aid kit. The backpack is equipped with compression straps, which can also be used to cinch additional gear, such as a sleeping bag or a sleeping pad. In the upper part of the side panels there are holes through which the hydration system tube passes.
The backpack is closed with a flap with a YKK zipper. The main compartment has been partially covered with soft velour allowing additional organizational panels to be mounted. Inside the backpack there is an additional modular system compatible with MOLLE/PALS. This allows a wide modification of the backpack and even transforming it into a medical or assault backpack.
The backpack is equipped with two pockets located at the top of the flap. One of them has a soft velour interior to prevent scratches, making it ideal for carrying glasses. Additional open side pockets allow you to carry bottles or spare gear.
The carrying system consists of contoured, softshell-padded and foam-filled shoulder straps with adjustable length. The chest strap and wide hip strap are fastened with a durable WooJin buckle.
On the front, there is a vertical loop belt for attaching additional gear, as well as a small velcro panel for attaching patches, emblems or so-called Morale Patches.

I have been using the backpack for a week and so far it works very well. The quality of the materials and workmanship is flawless, and the carrying system is exceptionally comfortable. The backpack seems larger than I expected for an 18-liter capacity, and the numerous pockets with external access allow for easy storage of small items without opening the entire backpack. However, I do see one drawback: the carrying handle is small and uncomfortable. Although it seems that we usually carry the backpack on our backs, now, having a thin and poorly sewn handle, I notice how often I use it – to lift the backpack from the floor, hold it while opening, or take it off in a crowded tram. That's when you appreciate the comfort of the handles in old models, such as the Helikon EDC or Sparrow. For this reason, I rate the product four stars.

What surprised me the most is the capacity of this backpack. Even though it's only 18 liters, you can easily pack for a whole day trip, an airsoft game, or other activities. It's lightweight and not too big, so it's also good for everyday use in the city. The workmanship is very high – Direct Action makes great products. Additionally, it's very comfortable to wear, even with a tactical vest. I definitely recommend it, the backpack is worth its price.

I bought this backpack to check the actual dimensions—everywhere the depth is listed as 22.5 cm, but according to my measurements, it doesn't even reach 12.5 cm on the floor. Overall, the workmanship is solid, and the backpack has many practical and well-placed pockets. Unfortunately, there are so many features that the whole thing becomes rather heavy for a small model. The front strap is rather flimsy—just a single layer without extra stitching. It's interesting that the buckles are covered with fabric, but because of this, they seem too stiff and are hard to use.

This is my first review of this backpack, so I'll try to describe it as accurately as possible. The carrying system is comfortable and well-designed. The plastic insert stiffens the backpack's construction, so there are no bulges that could dig into your back. The compression straps have sewn-in Velcro, which keeps them from hanging loose—this is a very practical solution. The back ventilation works great; there are practically no points of contact. The 18-liter capacity may seem small, but in practice, it works perfectly—whether for a short trip or daily commuting to work. The suitcase-style opening is practical. There is a zippered pocket at the bottom, ideal for small items or valuables, such as banknotes. The possibility to expand the equipment compensates for the medium capacity—the MOLLE system is sewn not only on the sides but also on the bottom, shoulder straps, and in the main compartment, making it easy to organize small gear. Additionally, the interior has a velcro panel for attaching various elements. The price is not low, that's a fact, but nonetheless, I think the purchase is worth it. I'm considering buying the Helifax Medium model for longer trips myself.
