MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. The aim was to develop a adaptable camouflage pattern effective across different terrains and fluctuating environmental conditions. This MultiCam pattern features seven colors that form gradient transitions between greens, browns, and beiges. Consequently, it adjusts to the surroundings, exhibiting green hues in wooded areas or browns and beiges in desert landscapes— particularly effective in Central and Eastern Europe during autumn or in dry vegetation settings. MultiCam has achieved international acclaim and is utilized by various military forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially chosen by the US Army for soldiers in Afghanistan, replacing the former Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also accessible to civilians, making it favored among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
