Delta Optical Genetic Pro Bino Microscope

Biological microscope with a binocular head, designed for observation in bright field. It is suitable for educational use, academic workrooms, and laboratories. It can also be used by people developing an interest in microscopy who need equipment that enables observation of biological specimens across a wide range of magnifications.

A stable design in an upright configuration, a wide eyepiece field of view, and a mechanical stage for 2 slides create a set suitable for regular work. The binocular head allows observation with both eyes. The tubes are inclined at an angle of 30 degrees, so there is no need to lean your head excessively over the eyepiece.

The binocular head is equipped with 2 WF 10x eyepieces with a field of view of 18 mm. The wide-field design makes it easier to observe a larger area of the specimen, which is important when locating structures of interest and when working at lower magnifications.

The interpupillary distance is adjustable within a range of 48-75 mm, allowing the eyepiece position to be matched to the individual distance between the eyes. The left tube features diopter adjustment within a range of +/- 5D, useful when there is a difference in visual sharpness between the eyes.

The microscope is equipped with a 4-position objective turret with achromatic objectives 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x OIL. Combined with 10x eyepieces, it provides total magnifications of:

• 40x - for locating and viewing larger areas of the specimen
• 100x - for observing selected sample elements
• 400x - for working with fine biological structures
• 1000x - with a 100x OIL immersion objective

Achromatic objectives reduce basic chromatic image aberrations, supporting the clarity of details visible in transmitted light. The 4-position turret enables quick objective changes and gradual magnification increases without removing the specimen from the stage.

The model uses a bright-field observation technique and LED transmitted illumination. The light source is located under the stage and directs the beam through the specimen toward the optical system. The technique is used for observing properly prepared thin biological specimens, both fresh and permanent.

The LED diode provides stable light and stands out for its long service life. It does not require regular replacement like traditional incandescent sources, and the emitted light does not cause significant sample heating. The microscope is powered by an external DC 5 V / 0,5 A source.

An Abbe N.A. 1,25 condenser is located under the stage, and its task is to focus light on the specimen. It works with an iris diaphragm, which allows the amount of light passing through the examined sample to be adjusted. Proper condenser and diaphragm settings make it possible to adjust brightness and contrast to the type of specimen and the objective currently in use.

The design based on 160 mm optical correction meets the standard used in biological microscopes of this type. It enables stable observation in the basic bright-field technique.

Coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs are located on both sides of the microscope. The coarse focus knob is used for quick preliminary focusing, mainly at lower magnifications. Fine adjustment allows the image to be refined precisely, especially when working with 40x and 100x OIL objectives.

The minimum fine movement increment is 4 µm, which allows small, controlled changes in the position of the stage relative to the objective. The dual-sided knob layout allows comfortable right- or left-hand operation.

The mechanical stage measuring 142 x 132 mm allows the simultaneous placement of 2 slides. The holder keeps the slides in a fixed position, and the travel mechanism allows the observed material to be moved precisely along the X and Y axes.

The travel range of the mechanism is 75 x 40 mm, which makes it easier to examine a larger part of the specimen. The vernier scale helps determine the position of the examined area and find it again during subsequent observations or when documenting results.
