Delta Optical BioLight 300 Microscope with Delta Optical DLT-Cam Basic 2 MP camera

The BioLight 300 microscope comes equipped with a Delta Optical DLT-Cam Basic 2 MP camera. Its upgraded optical system enhances image clarity and contrast, facilitating the observation of simple biological specimens such as plant and animal tissues, as well as insects, minerals, plants, stamps, coins, gemstones, electronic circuits, and more.

With a 2-megapixel sensor, the Delta Optical DLT-Cam Basic 2 MP color camera functions as a digital eyepiece. Installation is straightforward—just slide it into the eyepiece tube after removing the standard one. It fits tubes with a 23.2 mm inner diameter, commonly found in biological microscopes. For use with stereoscopic microscopes like the Delta Optical Discovery, a 30.5 mm adapter is needed.

Main applications:
- monitoring the live feed on a computer screen with freeze, scale, window fit, full-screen preview, resolution selection, and vertical/horizontal reflection capabilities,
- capturing photos and video with an automatic image-saving mode in various formats,
- measurement features, including area and perimeter computation,
- sharing microscope visuals via a multimedia projector or interactive whiteboard.

The camera is compatible with Windows Vista/2008/Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) and requires no additional drivers. The Delta Optical DLTCamViewer software is available in Polish.

Powered by either a standard electrical connection or three AA batteries, the microscope is usable on field trips, such as to ponds for examining aquatic microorganisms. When using regular batteries, ensure it is unplugged from the main power source.

The integrated handle in the tripod offers easy and secure transportation (minimizing the risk of device drops among children). Coaxial micro and macro focus knobs and a calibrated slide positioning mechanism enable highly accurate adjustments.

With a 10x/16 WF eyepiece and three achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 40x), it provides magnifications ranging from 40x to 400x. LED lighting supports observations in both transmitted and reflected light. The filter wheel allows selection of the appropriate filter and prevents overexposure or blackouts.
