Vegetato is an Italian military camouflage introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as the standard camouflage pattern of the Italian Armed Forces. The pattern is based on irregular, multi-layered patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and earthy red. Vegetato, also known as mimetico Vegetata or Italian Woodland, was developed as a modern alternative to older woodland-type camouflage patterns. Thanks to its expanded color palette and thoughtful patch layout, the camouflage effectively breaks up the soldier's silhouette and performs well in diverse natural environments - especially in areas covered with low and medium-height vegetation. Due to its character and color scheme, Vegetato adapts well to conditions found in many regions of Europe, including both Mediterranean and temperate climates.
