Vegetato is an Italian military camouflage introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as the standard camouflage pattern of the Italian Armed Forces. The pattern is based on irregular, multilayer patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and earthy red. Vegetato, also known as mimetico Vegetata or Italian Woodland, was developed as a modern alternative to older woodland-type patterns. Thanks to its extensive color palette and thoughtfully arranged patches, the camouflage effectively breaks up the soldier's silhouette and performs well in varied natural environments - especially in areas covered with low and medium vegetation. Due to its characteristics and color scheme, Vegetato adapts well to conditions found in many regions of Europe, including both Mediterranean and temperate climates.
