Defcon 5 Gen III Parka Jacket - Black

Multi-season parka-style tactical jacket in black with an extended fit, developed for users carrying out tasks in difficult weather conditions and at low temperatures. The model is made from 3-layer polyamide fabric with a PTFE coating and complemented with a detachable fleece liner, so it can be worn in a 3-in-1 system. The construction uses a dual-hood design, and the whole jacket has been assigned a military NATO stock number (NSN/NUC).

The construction is based on durable three-layer polyamide fabric with a PTFE coating. The outer layer features high resistance to abrasion, tearing, and mechanical damage typical of field operations. The integrated PTFE membrane provides effective protection against rain, snow, and wind, while also allowing excess moisture and heat to be efficiently released outside during exertion. All fabric joins are secured with sealing HS seam tape, which limits water penetration through the seams.

Thermal protection is provided by a detachable fleece sweatshirt with a grammage of 450 g/m2, attached inside the jacket with a zipper. The dense fleece effectively retains warmed air, protecting against chilling in low temperatures. The modular design allows the set to be used in three configurations: as a complete parka with the liner attached in winter conditions, as a standalone rain jacket on warmer rainy days, and as a standalone fleece sweatshirt in moderate weather.

The model is equipped with 6 practical pockets:

• 2 shoulder pockets on the outer jacket closed with velcro flaps, intended for small accessories and documents,
• 2 hip pockets on the outer jacket protected by angled flaps, allowing comfortable carrying of equipment and warming the hands,
• 2 side pockets in the fleece liner closed with zippers.

The outer jacket is equipped with a dual hood system, including a fixed hood that protects against rain and an enlarged detachable hood. The additional hood with a stiffened visor and circumference adjustment was designed to easily fit ballistic helmets and protective helmets. The cuffs of the outer jacket have circumference adjustment using velcro tabs. The lower edge of the fleece sweatshirt is equipped with an elastic cord with a stopper, which allows the circumference to be precisely adjusted to the body shape and protects against cold air blowing underneath, while the sleeves are finished with elastic cuffs.

The main closure is a robust YKK two-way zipper sewn along the full length of the jacket. The zipper is protected by a wide outer windproof strip fastened with durable snaps, which reduces wind penetration and water ingress. In the central part of the strip there is a vertical shoulder mark fastened with a snap, intended for attaching a holder for military or service rank insignia.

Velcro panels intended for customization are placed on the surface of the garment. The flaps of both shoulder pockets of the outer jacket feature velcro for easy attachment of unit patches, flags, or Morale Patches emblems. The fleece liner on the chest has rectangular velcro panels designed for attaching name tapes, insignia, and service markings.
