Vegetato is an Italian military camouflage introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as the standard camouflage pattern of the Italian Armed Forces. The pattern is based on irregular, layered patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and earthy red. Vegetato, also known as mimetico Vegetata or Italian Woodland, was created as a modern alternative to older woodland-type patterns. Thanks to its rich palette and well-thought-out arrangement of patches, this camouflage effectively breaks up the soldier's silhouette and performs well in a variety of natural environments - especially in areas covered with low and medium vegetation. Due to its character and color scheme, Vegetato adapts well to conditions found in many regions of Europe, including both Mediterranean and temperate climates.
