The hatchet is very handy, big enough to be used with both hands. I like its small size, it's just a pity that you have to buy the sheath separately, but it's good that the set includes a silicone blade cover.
The CRKT tomahawk is a very useful tool - especially for professionals who perform difficult duties on a daily basis. Tomahawks for a very long time were basic equipment in the American military. Until now, among others, American Rangers are equipped with it, which refers to the tradition of this unit dating back to the 17th century.
The axe was designed by Ryan Johnson, who has been designing similar tomahawks for about 30 years and has won many fans.
The blade is made from a single, solid piece of 1055 carbon steel. The Chogan™ version has a blade on one side and a hammer on the other. Thanks to this blade design, the hatchet can be used for both cutting wood and driving nails. The handle is made of American pecan. The wood is coated with a layer of varnish, which further protects it.

Very good quality steel and excellent penetration. It fits great in the hand and is a bit bigger than the Fiskars X7, which is of course nice. Unfortunately, the handle was a bit loose, but I fixed it with a 550 Paracord wrap and now it's even better than the original. I'm still testing it and will let you know how it performs in the winter.
