MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern created in 2002 by the US-based company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its purpose was to develop a flexible camouflage pattern effective in diverse terrains and shifting environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern incorporates seven colors, creating gradients between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to adapt dynamically to its surroundings, adopting green shades in forested areas or browns and beiges in desert settings—particularly excelling in Central and Eastern European regions during autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved global acclaim and is employed by many armed forces and special units. In 2010, the US Army officially adopted this camouflage for soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the former Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also accessible to civilian users, making it a favored choice among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
