The grease worked very well on my leather tactical boots, which were used exclusively for tactical activities and didn't need to be shiny. Compared to using polish, the boots withstood intensive use much better, and minor leather damage disappeared after applying the grease, as if it was 'regenerated.' The only small downside is that the leather becomes much darker.
