Casio is a Japanese brand founded in 1946, known worldwide as one of the leaders in consumer electronics. A breakthrough moment in the company's history was the launch of the G-Shock series in the 1980s, which gained cult status thanks to its exceptional resistance to shocks, water, and extreme environmental conditions. Casio is constantly developing its technologies, introducing features such as Tough Solar - a solar power system - and Wave Ceptor - time synchronization using radio waves, which ensures precision and reliability. The brand's watches are popular among both professionals and users looking for durable solutions for everyday use and outdoor activities. The first G-Shock model – DW-5000C, designed by engineer Kikuo Ibe in 1983, passed a drop test from the tenth floor and continued to function flawlessly, which became the foundation of the series' legend. Today, Casio is synonymous with innovation, reliability, and timeless design.

The watch offers good quality at an affordable price. The only drawback might be the backlight operated by the LIGHT button, which is typical for G-SHOCK models, but the hands illuminate automatically in complete darkness.
