Its remarkable magnification range enables examination of both larger items like stamps, insects, or plant fragments, and tiny items such as slide preparations. Notably, the zPix 300 also allows users to capture a photo or record a video during observations.
The microscope's magnification will change depending on your monitor. To estimate the possible magnification range, multiply the screen size by 4.09 and 21.76. For instance, with a standard 21" monitor, the magnification range will be 86-457x, while with a larger 32" screen, the range increases to 131-696x.
Observations can be conducted by placing the microscope directly on the object or by using a stand and slides.
