Woodland, also referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, is a traditional camouflage pattern that was introduced to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, stemming from the earlier ERDL camouflage. It served as the standard pattern for the US military for over two decades, until the end of the first decade of the 21st century. Its design features large, irregular patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and black, which offer excellent camouflage and disruption capabilities, particularly in forested areas.
