The bottle pleasantly surprised me. I was worried that when I turned the closure to the drinking position, water would leak out of the bottle, but that didn't happen. Thanks to this, I can confidently slide the unlocked bottle into the basket, but opening it with one hand is not easy, so I wouldn't recommend doing it while riding. To drink water, you have to suck the liquid out, and if you want a bigger sip, you need to squeeze the bottle. Once the mouthpiece is locked, the bottle is completely leakproof—I checked this while traveling with a backpack.
