Bushnell Prime 8x42 Roof Binoculars

Binoculars from the Bushnell Prime series with a fixed magnification of 8x and a lens diameter of 42 mm. Thanks to advanced technologies, this model allows for high resolution and image contrast. Adjustable eyecups, diopter adjustment capability, and 24 mm eye relief ensure comfort during longer observations and individual customization.

BaK-4 Glass, EXO Protection Coating

The binoculars feature high-quality BaK-4 optical glass, from which the optical system prisms are made. Prisms made of this type of glass guarantee extraordinary brightness and image clarity, unattainable for constructions using less expensive Bk-7 glass.

All air-glass boundaries are covered with multi-layer FMC anti-reflective coatings (Fully Multi-Coated), reducing reflections and light loss. The outer lens surfaces are additionally coated with EXO Protection to reduce water and dust adhesion, improve scratch resistance, and enhance observation in adverse weather conditions, even in rain and breath condensation.

Waterproof Design, Rubber Covers

The binoculars meet the IPX7 waterproof standard (resistant to water immersion for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 meter). The set includes a case and rubber covers for the lenses.

    I had high expectations for these binoculars, but my unit had very strong chromatic aberration, which even surprised the salesperson at the store :( We also tried the x8 magnification version and the effect was also very poor, so I suspect that the manufacturer reduced quality to decrease production costs :( Unfortunately, I had to return the product :(

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This is my second pair of binoculars and the fifth I’ve ever used, and it made a big impression on me. Even without a sale, it’s worth the price. In my opinion, you shouldn't be guided by tests, but by your preferences when choosing. Why Bushnell? I'd prefer Canon or Nikon, but the first is out of my range, and the second, in a comparable version, is unattainable (I didn’t consider used ones), so I chose Bushnell, because it’s a trusted brand in this industry. The set includes a well-made case, a strap that works as intended, and a small pouch with a clip and a cleaning cloth for optics, and the binoculars themselves look impressive. Great solutions with the covers – the front ones can be left on permanently, and the back can be attached to the strap. Most important: excellent optics. The sharpness is at a very high level, and the image is bright, resulting in more natural and saturated colors. I am very satisfied. I'll add that for cameras I use bright lenses, so I know what good optics are.

    Decent equipment. For me, it serves as a backup to the 10x50. It’s light and small (weighs half of what the 10x50 does, and even half of 8x40 Porro), quite inexpensive, with decent optics. Very useful during long hikes. It's durable and waterproof. Bushnell gets the job done.

    Bushnell is solid equipment. Due to its construction, size, and price, however, it does have obvious optical limitations (brightness, aberration, less sharp image on the edges, etc.). I use it as a backup. The advantage is its low weight—only 470 g (that's about half the weight of 10x50 or 8x40 Porro binoculars!). On longer hikes, that's really important. Ideal for hiking or biking trips into the unknown. Durable and waterproof, and also inexpensive. Great for starting your adventure with optics.
