I really like the functionality of this monocular. Thanks to its large magnification, I can see details that I used to miss. I use it both for nature observation and at concerts. Really worth the money!

Bushnell Legend 10x42 Ultra HD Monocular Tan
Bushnell Legend 10x42 Ultra HD TAN monocular is fully waterproof, compact, and made from top-quality materials. It includes a Picatinny rail, which allows for integration with various devices such as carbines, helmets, or head masks. Quick and convenient focus adjustment is achieved with a dial by the eyepiece. Additionally, the monocular features an adjustable eye cup. Robust construction and hermetic sealing ensure reliable operation even in harsh weather conditions such as rain, fog, or dust. Its compact dimensions and lightweight make it easy to carry and significantly simplify observation.
Advanced optical system
The optical system is based on lenses made from ED glass (extra-low dispersion), providing high resolution and image contrast while effectively reducing chromatic aberration. All air-glass surfaces have been coated with multi-layer anti-reflective FMC coatings (Fully Multi-Coated) and an innovative Ultra Wide Band coating, minimizing light loss and enhancing image brightness even in limited lighting conditions.
The external lens surfaces are protected with a hydrophobic RainGuard coating, facilitating observation in rain and challenging atmospheric conditions. Additionally, PC-3 coatings on roof prisms improve color quality, contrast, and image sharpness.
Waterproof design, rubber housing
The monocular features an ergonomic, waterproof housing. The external lenses are protected by a hydrophobic RainGuard HD coating, reducing the accumulation of water droplets and steam, allowing for observation even in the rain. The construction meets the Water Proof standard, and the tube is filled with dry nitrogen sealed with O-rings, preventing lens fogging and protecting against dust, precipitation, and short-term immersion. The rubber armor with an ergonomic profile protects the device from impacts and ensures a secure grip, while the built-in Mil-Hash reticle extends the monocular's capabilities.

BaK-4
BaK-4 are high-end prisms made of Barium Crown glass, containing barium oxide. They are used in advanced optics such as binoculars, telescopes and finders, where image quality is crucial. BaK-4 glass is characterized by a high refractive index, resulting in a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. With excellent light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions.
ED Lenses
ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses are optical elements made of low-dispersion glass, used in high-end optical devices. Their main function is to reduce chromatic aberration, which is the splitting of light manifested by colored borders around contrasting objects. With ED lenses, the image is clearer, sharper and has better color reproduction - especially at the edges of the field of view and when observing high-contrast objects.
FMC - Fully MultiCoated
FMC (Fully MultiCoated) is a technology used in optical devices to apply multi-layer anti-reflective coatings to all lens surfaces in contact with air. This solution effectively reduces reflections and light loss, improving brightness, contrast and image clarity. The increased light transmission translates into a sharper and more detailed image, which is crucial when observing in limited light conditions.
PC-3
PC-3 Phase Coating is an advanced phase coating developed by Bushnell and applied to roof prisms in high-end binoculars. Its purpose is to eliminate phase splitting of light that can occur during reflection inside the prism. As a result, the image gains better sharpness, clarity and detail reproduction, and colors remain natural and saturated. PC-3 technology significantly improves image quality, especially in demanding observation conditions such as low light or high background contrast.
RainGuard HD
RainGuard HD is a hydrophobic protective coating used on Bushnell optics that prevents water, steam, fog and snow from settling on lenses. It creates a microscopic barrier so that droplets do not scatter light and run off the glass surface more easily. The result is a clearer, more transparent image even in harsh weather conditions, significantly improving the comfort and effectiveness of field observation.

The image is of very good quality, and the monocular is well made.

Very good glass. The image is sharp and bright even at dusk. I tested it on willow leaves lit slightly with a lamp at a distance of about 200 meters. The case could be a bit better, but the most important thing is the glass, not the packaging. The (black unavailable) version has a scale. In summary: 5/5.

After more than a year of use, I can confidently say that the Bushnell monocular is excellent and truly worth its price! I mainly use it at the shooting range, always have it with me, and it is very helpful. The equipment is professional and expensive, but I honestly RECOMMEND it to everyone!

The monocular is comfortable, solid as a tank, and fully waterproof! The quality of the build and lenses is impressive. Although it’s not cheap, it’s worth investing in. It has a Mil-Hash scale (equivalent of Mil-Dot), focus can be adjusted with one finger, the set includes lens covers, the body has a loop for a cord, a belt clip, a tripod mount, and a mini Picatinny rail. It is sold with a case that only has a belt loop, not a MOLLE system. In my opinion, it deserves a rating of 5/5. I RECOMMEND IT!

The image through the monocular is very bright and clear, although around 10% of the field near the edges appears slightly blurry. Among monoculars, this model would be at the top. The price is high, but good optics are worth paying for. It's smaller than binoculars, but too big to be considered pocket-sized. The lens cover fits well, but the eyepiece cover often slips off. The monocular itself weighs 397 grams, and with the case 494. I wouldn't really recommend it for mountain trips.
