+very lightweight and takes up little space in a backpack +excellent protection from rain – I recommend it -It’s suitable for sleeping, but I wouldn't fully recommend it personally As a poncho and a small tarp, it works great, but as a bivy bag, it’s worse – after a while, it gets damp on the walls inside, which can make it cold.
A very lightweight, waterproof thermal sleeping bag equipped with a detachable hood and a mosquito net for the face. It can be used as a hammock bolster, an outdoor sleeping bag (combined, for example, with the Walker series sleeping bag, or a poncho. with a sleeping bag from the Walker series) or a poncho. Hideout Thermo can also be combined with another identical camping sheet and thus create a two-person bivy bag.
The sleeping bag is made of durable polyester with mesh ripstop. All seams and zippers are secured to prevent moisture from getting inside. The Thermo layer reflects heat generated naturally by the body, as well as 98% of UV rays (UPF50+).
The Hideout is equipped with two zippered interior pockets. Removable hood and dense mesh mosquito netting protect your head, face, and neck from mosquitoes, midges, ticks, and other insects. The stiffening keeps the mesh away from your face.
With the included expanders, the sleeping bag can be converted into a hammock liner/cover or a convenient rain cape with a mosquito net tucked into the hood.
Set includes:
- sleeping bag,
- hood with mosquito net,
- expander x2,
- repair patch.

A very universal product. As a bivy, it works great with a sleeping bag or blanket. For most of the year, with cool nights, condensation appears inside, so it's good to have a sleeping bag or blanket between your body and the thermo layer. Another inconvenience is the cold from below in pressure points—additional ground insulation helps here. I also have the insulated version of the hideout (I managed to get the last one), where these problems don't occur—unfortunately, it's currently unavailable. For fans of the Bushmen bivy, there's still the basic option, which stands out for its functionality—you can use it as a poncho/tarp, rain cape, or underquilt for a hammock. The Hideout has several zippers that you should be careful with, as they can block each other; you need to separate them before unzipping. This is to ensure tightness against rain. Undoubtedly, this is the most creative product from Bushmen, and especially appreciated by fans of lightweight, minimalist camping. Personally, I really liked it.

I'm writing this review almost a year after use, although the gear hasn't been used very intensively—throughout the winter and during heavy rains, the Bushmen Hideout Thermo Bivy Bag performed flawlessly. Treated twice with Nikwax (at the beginning and early spring). A fantastic invention, just worth practicing pitching it, because at first it may be a bit tricky, but it quickly becomes a habit. Buying this bivy/rain cape was one of the best gear decisions I've made. I've slept in it several times during heavy rain and it never leaked. It will definitely work well for hikes, at the borders, and in various outdoor activities. I highly recommend it—if you're considering buying it, don't hesitate. The Bushmen Hideout Thermo Bivy Bag is a very versatile piece of gear.

A great addition to any survival kit, very versatile! It works as a bivy, rain cape, blanket, thermal blanket, or emergency sleeping bag... As always with Bushmen, the workmanship is top-notch! The material provides excellent thermal insulation, protects against heat loss on cold nights, and shields you from the sun in hot weather. Anyone familiar with Bushmen products knows what I'm talking about. I recommend it like all items from this company—the versatility means it will come in handy in many situations.

A universal product. I use it exclusively as a bivy; perfect for sleeping outdoors all year round, great for stealth camping. Just adjust the sleeping bag or blanket to the season. In case of rain, it's good to have a poncho or tarp. After purchasing the thermo hideout from Bushmen, it's best to impregnate the material with permethrin—then you can sleep in the woods without worry. The hideout is long enough for an adult and their gear. Two internal pockets are perfect for small items like a phone or keys. The mosquito netting with a frame effectively protects against insects, and the hood can fit a small pillow for more sleeping comfort. For me, the Bushmen Hideout (in the form of a bivy bag) is a great alternative to a tent or hammock and an excellent choice if you value discretion while camping. I highly recommend this product.

The bivy works great. It's waterproof and durable for tough conditions. It doesn't take up much space. It's best to pack your sleeping bag inside and carry everything together. It sets up and packs down quickly at camp.

Very versatile product. You can use it as a bivy (this is its primary function), but with some practice, it can easily be converted into a poncho, tarp, or an underquilt for a hammock. I tested it as an underquilt and a bivy – in both roles it works excellently. As a poncho or tarp, it’s more of a backup solution, but if saving space in your backpack is important – it’s a perfect choice. I recommend preparing the Hideuot for poncho mode beforehand, because setup takes skill and time. In bivy mode, the vapor permeability is rather low, and on cool nights, moisture can form on the walls, so I suggest using an additional layer between the mattress and your body, such as a sleeping bag. The mosquito net and its attachment method – in my opinion – are very well thought out.

Very versatile gear. It works well as both a bivy and a poncho. You can also use it as an insulation layer for a hammock. The mosquito net is a great feature for a peaceful sleep. The only downside is the need to practice reconfiguring it—at first, it's not obvious or easy, but it's factory-set up as a bivy.

A versatile and high-quality product. It is lightweight and very durable. It works great as an emergency shelter. It's worth practicing changing the configuration a few times so you can quickly transform it from one version to another if needed. I definitely recommend it.

Excellent product! Very durable, lightweight, easy to pack, and well-designed; it's probably the most versatile poncho on the market. You can sleep in it without a pad down to 14°C (though you shouldn't expect comfort). Tested during the Scorpion maneuvers at the training ground in Wesoła. There are instructions on YouTube and the manufacturer's website on how to make a sleeping bag or tarp from the poncho.
