NRC foil stands as a crucial component of any survival kit. Due to its versatility, it is useful in hiking, outdoor activities, rescue missions, and even by uniformed services. The blanket's main function is to shield a person’s body from rapid heat loss, provide insulation from the ground temperature, and offer protection against adverse weather conditions like wind or rain.

Crafted from waterproof and durable Reflexcell material, it features a three-layer corrugated aluminium foil design that ensures airflow and layered insulation. Its surface is metallised on both sides with silver and green colorations. The foil reflects up to 90 percent of body heat, preventing chilling.

Once unfolded, the blanket measures 156 x 230 cm. However, its design allows it to be compactly folded, making it convenient for storage in even the smallest backpack or jacket pocket.

Applications for the wrap include:
-- serving as a thermal sleeping bag for body coverage,
-- acting as inner insulation for a traditional sleeping bag,
-- functioning as a picnic blanket or tent floor, insulating against cold and damp ground,
-- serving as a signaling device by reflecting light.

This is an essential part of every first aid kit. After using Blizzard, I no longer go back to an NRC blanket. I always have it with me – in the car, at the shooting range, in the mountains, or in my everyday backpack. Thanks to its versatility, it has become a permanent part of my EDC. I recommend it to everyone.
