The buckle proposed by Berghaus is, in my opinion, the best possible solution for a hip belt! It can be easily adjusted and tightened, and at the same time, it opens with one finger and doesn't loosen while walking. Even in the cold or mud, it works flawlessly because it doesn't have any spring-loaded parts that could break or get clogged. This is a world-class design!
