How to prepare for consumption: put the contents of the can into a pot and heat over low heat, stirring occasionally.

    The portion is enough for two people. The can is easy to heat up on a gas stove or a campfire and eat immediately. If you're eating alone, you need an airtight container – preferably metal, to make it easy to transport and reheat the food. The dish is rather neutral in taste, so it's worth seasoning it. The shoulder meat is slightly fatty.
