Alpinus Tarfala Backpack 35 l - Brick
A spacious 35-liter backpack made of durable 420D nylon, designed with functionality and comfort in mind. The design includes two main compartments closed with sturdy zippers. The first one has three internal dividers that help keep your gear organized. The spacious pocket in the second compartment is perfect for carrying a 47 x 24 cm laptop or tablet, protecting them during travel.
Numerous zippered pockets
Numerous zippered pockets increase organizational possibilities. There is a handy pocket on the front, as well as a top pocket and a pocket built into the hip belt — all zippered. Additionally, there are elastic side pockets and an open compartment at the front of the backpack.
Comfortable carrying system, ADS ventilation system
The comfortable carrying system has been designed with ergonomics in mind – soft, adjustable shoulder straps allow you to adjust both the length and angle of inclination. A wide hip belt and chest strap ensure even weight distribution, increasing carrying comfort. The chest strap buckle has a built-in emergency whistle, useful in emergency situations. The ADS (Alpinus Dry System) ventilation system promotes air circulation, improving comfort during intense activity.

The large capacity works perfectly for longer trips. The backpack is comfortable to wear, fits the back very well and has a practical compartment layout. It is made of a durable, abrasion-resistant material.

I used this backpack for three years. Its biggest advantages are the comfortable carrying system and the attractive color — blue in my case. The actual capacity seems smaller than the advertised 35 liters, but winter avalanche gear and crampons fit without any problem. Unfortunately, I had to file a warranty claim for the first one right away because of broken zippers. In the second one, after two years, holes started appearing in the pockets, there was wear on the carrying system, and eventually one of the main zippers broke, so I had to part with it. I expected it to last me much longer.

Overall, it's a decent and convenient backpack, but there are two serious drawbacks: - it's nowhere near 35 liters, but about half that size; - it's scary to carry an iPad in its pocket, because the back stiffness system is like a concave metal sheet, even for it. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it.

The shoulder straps and the ventilated mesh are very well designed, so the backpack is very comfortable even when fully packed. The volume doesn't seem to be 35 liters and the storage compartments feel a bit tight.

The backpack is generally fine, but its capacity is much smaller than the declared 35 liters—compared to the Wisport 303 backpack with a 30-liter capacity, this one seems to have maybe about 20 liters. The pockets are very narrow, suitable only for something like a thin magazine. The main pocket is very tight, as are the others. In the second compartment, they could have added more small pockets for little items.

Excellent comfort, seems sturdy; I think it will become my favorite bag for short hikes in the forest. BUT, I share the opinion of another user, I don’t think it can hold 35 liters, I would say between 25 and 30 liters. I am very happy with my purchase.👍

I have been using the Tarfala 35L backpack for a short time; previously, I used the Alpinus Lecco 30L. I highly value backpacks from this brand for their solid construction, good materials, comfort, and ergonomics—mainly thanks to the thoughtful placement and number of pockets, as well as their durability. I deduct one star for, in my opinion, overestimated capacity. Tarfala holds noticeably less than the Lecco, even though the manufacturer claims it has greater volume. This may be due to the frame with mesh (great for summer) and the space taken up by the rain cover. Comparing both models—assuming the Lecco indeed has 30 liters—the Tarfala offers about 25 liters of actual capacity. Aside from that, it’s a great backpack. I use it daily for cycling a distance of 25 km, and it's the most comfortable model I've used. Military-style backpacks don’t match the Tarfala in everyday comfort. I definitely recommend it, but you should be aware of the actual capacity.
